Title: Duophonic mode
Post by: Moho on May 16, 2021, 06:07:28 am
I would love to be able to play the oscillators separately in mono mode, with say low note oscillator 1 and high note oscillator 2, it can create really interesting sounds when combined with Osc Sync or FM  8)

I'm just a sucker for Duophonic /Paraphonic sounds and this would be the icing on the cake of a fabulous synth.

I hear you - I'm a  lover of paraphony, and also drones, myself  :)

We can't have the standard monosynth paraphony with the PolyBrute. However, we can have something which I consider at least as fun as that: drones, paraphony and polyphony at the same time!

Head over here (https://gearspace.com/board/showpost.php?p=15456011&postcount=3456) to check it out.

At first I thought close but no cigar, as it wasn't quite what I was asking for, then I thought maybe close enough for jazz, then I tried it and its amazing not only can you mangle the FM / Sync by changing the pitch of the second oscillator with the keys, you can do it polyphonically, something none of my duophonc mono's offer.

Thank you Dr Justice great work.  8)

Glad you like it :)

You may already have done that (ref. your FM / Sync comment), but just in case, I mention that the possibility of swapping the role of VCO 1 and 2 is something to try there for more if the FM/Sync synthesis stuff.
