Problem
If you own a Komplete Kontrol Keyboard, you can browse all your sounds very comfortably directly from your keyboard using Komplete Kontrol Software and using Pigments as a Plug In.
When you install Pigments with its standard libraries and the Sound Libraries from Spectrum Sound Pack the installation process should also install the necessary .nkfs-Files, which implement the NKS standard format and are needed for Komplete Kontrol to browse the files directly.
Status Quo
In the screenshot (Attachment) you can see Komplete Kontrol Software using Pigments as PlugIn.
All the files on the left side (marked with the red circle) are presets from Pigments, that can be browsed directly from the keyboard. For those files the NKI-format has been implemented.
After some investigation and the user support we have found out the following, regarding my installed preset libraries:
- Factory – NKS implemented
- Amethyst – NKS not available
- Crimson – NKS not available
- Malachite – NKS not available
- Ochre – NKS not available
- Onyx – NKS not available
- Pigments 2.0 – NKS implemented
- Pigments 3.0 – NKS not available
Of course all Presets can be accessed and selected directly from inside the PlugIn via computer keyboard.
Hoping, that this summary helps and that NKS will be also implemented for the newest libraries soon!
