Hi all of us
Some questions :
Is it possible to use an external power supply, and be connected also via USB ?
(doing so to prevent using the computer power supply )
In that case is the Usb power supply subsituted by the external power supply ?
Any issues by doing this ? (Ground noises ...)
Is better to be connected to my PC via USB or via my Audio card-midi Port ?
(Doing so, using an external power supply )
Thanks for advices

Welcome
You could power it from both USB and the barrel connector, but I'm trying to figure out why you would do that. The external power supply socket only needs to be used when the controller is not receiving power via USB.
Regarding your second question, it's better to connect via USB to your computer. The midi ports don't allow for full integration of your controller to Analog Lab.

Hello,
I would like to latch onto this discussion. My Arturia Keylab 61 does not power on with just the USB cable. I have had it give off a "Power surge on USB port" is drawing too much power on all of my powered USB hubs on my computers. Essentially this happens even when I have the Arturia plugged into the ac power. Is there anyone actually getting their Arturia keyboards powered by the USB cable only?

Personally I've never had any trouble powering my devices, including a Keylab mkII 61, with only the USB connection. Have you tried connecting it to another computer to diagnose if the problem is with the computer's USB or with the controller?
