Title: Layering notes in live recording sequences
Post by: didgeridoojedi on February 27, 2021, 02:40:17 am
At the moment when sequence is playing and I play notes over it (in polyphonic mode) I can hear both notes, but when I hit record the existing notes are REPLACED with new ones.
It's a waste of powerful potential, please implement another mode (maybe Shift+Record) to be able to LAYER notes in sequences - this way we could have a choice if notes should be replaced or extra layer should be added - Microfreak has 4 voice paraphony so why not use its power :)

Especially that it is possible for sequencer to play up to 4 notes so feature is there already, just need to enable to program it live when sequencer is running.

Yes!

I would even say it could be the only way of overdubbing in paraphonic mode. If you want to replace all the notes in a step, just switch to mono mode before recording new notes.

Exactly. As simple as that. Paraphonic - building on top (up to four notes) monophonic - replacing notes in sequence.

Yea exactly. Like the two before me stated, just make it the normal way of behavior.
