Title: Voice input only comes in the left channel
Post by: pwsilzer4 on December 27, 2020, 11:02:09 pm
Hey guys!

Love the new vocoder plugin.

For some reason when I use the voice input, the voice only comes through the left channel.  I can tell because when I solo the voice, I hear it only in the left channel. It's the same thing no matter what preset I use.

I use Pro Tools and I've followed the exact directions for set up (key input). Totally baffled!

Would appreciate any help / advice.

Hi ,you're right, unfortunately i managed to reproduce your issue.
I also tried some routing tricks but it didn't solve this.
logged the issue in our bugtracker in the meantime.
sorry for the inconvenience,
best regards,

Hi Germain,

In standalone mode in my demo version i have found that if i select a stereo input, then only the left channel is sounding.
If i select only Left as input (a mono signal), then there is sound in both channels.

The Pitch Tracking in Vocoder V according to the manual only work with a monophonic signal.

Also the manual say this when using samples: "(The samples can be stereo, but they will be summed to mono prior to being vocoded.)".
So shall we understand, that this also should be the case when using a stereo signal for Voice input mode?

Glad I wasn't crazy. I appreciate you looking into this. Any developments since your post? I see that there was recently a new release.
