Title: Arturia Keylab 88 MKII - REAPER Integration flawed?
Post by: mabbels on December 08, 2020, 11:50:34 am
Hi there!

I just got my brand new Keylab 88 and am facing some bothering issues with the (native?) REAPER integration. Most of the mappings are doing absolutely fine, but Iīm having problems with:

1.) The Mixer Panel:
While faders are doing just great, the PAN knobs seem to just work in a binary fashion, switching between 100% panned left and middle/balanced. Thereīs no in between and no right. It gets even stranger when working with groups/track folders. Letīs say that we have 3 tracks, where track 2 and 3 are children of track 1. When moving the pan knob for track 1, we are switching between 100% panned left and middle/balanced. When I move the pan knob of track 2, I can pan track 2 absolutely fine, but the track 1 knob moves as well (switching between left and middle again). If I move the pan knob of track 3, track 3 pans as you would expect it to, but now track 2 jumps between left and middle at the same time.

2.) Switching through tracks by using Select 1, Select 2 etc:
When using the buttons for selecting which track has the focus, it is handling it like a "multi-select" (like having CNTRL pressed when clicking) instead of each one being mutually exclusive. I have to click the Select button again to de-select a prior selected track before clicking the next one.

3.) Big Knob Scrolling:
The big know is intended to basically just scroll through the track window. But if I scroll by using the big knob, it scrolls as intended AND at the same time sets markers with every millisecond

4.) DAW mapping - REAPER vs REASON:
When long clicking the DAW button, I sometimes donīt find myself in the "REAPER Mode" anymore, but in the "REASON" mode (while reason normally doesnīt even appear within the list). By going one step back and forth, REASON becomes REAPER again and Iīm saving it...again.

This is my setup (according to the manual):

I would be super grateful for any help! :(
