Title: How to assign presets to the 16 Pads in Analog Lab 4.
Post by: RobArtz on November 01, 2020, 03:19:50 pm
Is there a way to assign a preset (i.e. The Diva) to Pad 1, another preset (i.e. Astral Voices) to Pad 2 and so on?
This will save me scrolling for the preferred preset on the fly.
I know I can save presets in Concerts/Songs, but then I still have to scroll if there are multiple presets in one song.
It would be better for me to just hit one of the 16 pre-defined Pads.

I assume you are talking about pads on a Arturia controller.

You should be able to use the Pads on a Arturia to send Bank and Program Change messages. The messages work for presets in Concerts. So you should be able to program a pad to select a certain preset in your concerts. You can also use buttons for this.
A Bank messages should select a specific Concert (number 0-127) and the specific Program change message (number 0-127) should select a specific preset in that concert.

I don't have a Arturia controller, so i can't test it for you. But in Arturias Midi Control Center i can see, that pads can be set to send those messages. Just select the Program Change option in the MODE drop down menu, and set the needed messages.
