I have confirmed this. I bypassed my DAW and brought up Arturia's DX 7 in standalone mode. No aftertouch transmitting by the keys. Oddly, the pads are transmitting aftertouch but the keys no.
What do I do? Is there some kind of programming I have to do to get this to work?

The keys does'nt have aftertouch on the Keylab Essential controllers. The Keylab MKII controllers has.

Yeah, I just found this out from somebody. This is total bullshit! I've been playing electronic keyboards since the 80s and this is the first controller I ever got that didn't have aftertouch. I didn't even think to ask the salesman when I bought it because the idea never even occurred to me.
Unbelievable.

The full keylab mk II does have aftertouch as mentioned by LBH. I made the same mistake myself because I didn't read the specs properly. The "ESSENTIAL" is just that, ESSENTIAL - No extras, nothing special, just ESSENTIAL controller. Why do you think the price is so low???
The Keystep sequencer/arpegiator on the other hand, does have aftertouch.

In my day, aftertouch WAS essential and pretty much standard.

Dunno. Of all the actual organs and pianos I've seen (since 1972 - I'm 66 years old) I haven't seen any... It's a new thing for me. Course in My day, we used to use dinosaur bones to make music.
