Title: Drumbrute impact midi through

I have a drumbrute impact in a midi chain, and it seems to not let any midi through.
My chain is as following:
yamaha p35 -> drumbrute -> roland tr-8 -> keystep -> nord lead rack

Seeing the yamaha p35 doesn't seem to let any midi through either, I am wondering if there is any way to get the drumbrute to pass midi signal.

In case this is not possible, I would like to know any way of getting signal from 2 different sources (the piano and the drummachines) into the keystep.
