Title: Make pads conform to scale setting
Post by: chromatest on May 28, 2020, 12:15:38 am
I don't understand why any sequencer with a scale setting doesn't restrict the input keys to only those notes in the currently selected scale.

Set the scale to C-Major, and the "black keys" should be disabled entirely.

This could be done in a couple ways.

It's pretty tedious to program a pattern on-the-fly using the rotary knobs.  It's much faster to use the pads in record mode, but most of us don't know exactly why notes are in any given scale.  If we did, we wouldn't need the sequencer to have scale modes at all.

+1 Could be also a great way to learn/remember scales  :)
