Hi, how's it going? I've searched through the forums and didn't find anything like this for the MiniMg--can anyone help me get a sound like Jan Hammer's lead in the Mahavishnu Orchestra, or know of any available presets? An example is around 1:40 in Open Country Joy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0ImE4Tesz). I've read some tutorials for other synths and tried to apply them to the Arturia MiniMg but couldn't get the sound right. Thanks in advance!

Hammer is my favourite Mgist so I'd like any presets too.

The lead is the one's in the center at 1.38 right?
There are too much instruments in the panorama so I can't hear it well, can you post another example?

Yes the lead starts there, I don't know of another track with quite the same sound.
Here is my personal favourite Hammer solo in Sister Andrea, the mix is less dense so it's a lot easier to hear.
The track starts at 20.35 and the solo begins at 24.55

Ok now I understand, for me it's a simple sound, the player make this sound more expressive by Mod weel and a really well done execution!
The attack is really fast and I think there is a bit of resonance that make the initial "plick" sound!
I try to reproduce it and post the patch here!
