Title: Create New Project adds Library Clutter
Post by: mrfugu on November 16, 2012, 08:05:41 pm
Spark Control Surface hardware version 1.1.2
Spark MIDI Control Center.app version 1.0
Spark.app v1.5 (OSX)

When creating a new project a user is not prompted to name it, nor can they without using a 'save add..' function.

A default project is created, adding it's project kit to the user library. Only 'Save as..' appears to save the project under a non default name. Any default new projects are left in the library, with a new kit name, and new empty kit and new empty instruments, all of which adds to general clutter if not regularly removed.

Possible solution: prompt for Project Name upon 'create new', allowing for a single project to be created instead of the 'new' and the user named 'saved as..' project, the actual user intention having been to create the 'saved as...' named project.

Perhaps adding a prompt/dropdown for Kit creation/selection in addition to the existing 'Genre' and "By:" (user) selections in the 'Current Project' panel. The prevention of empty/repetitive Kit proliferation should be considered especially in light of there currently being no sound preview/audition functions.

Hi,
you are totally right, I noticed this problem some time ago but never found the time to fix it.
I will try to solve this for the next update.
