Title: MATRIXBRUTE, SEQUENCING OTHER MIDI GEAR?
Post by: serjio on March 05, 2020, 12:40:18 pm
Hello everyone,,
I was told that it would be possible in the sequencer area of the matrixbrute, to use those 4 grids, to control 4 different midi channels.. .- is this a valid thing, and if so how?? https://snaptube.cam/ (https://snaptube.cam/) 9apps (https://9apps.cam/)

No, it's not valid.

There's a bunch of sequencers on the market, including Arturia's own Beatstep Pro but I prefer the Squarp Pyramid as it can simultaneously control 64 polyphonic tracks vs 16.

Another choice if you don't mind the "middle man" is to bring over your DAW.

Using Ableton Live you can control not only multiple instruments via MIDI messages, but also the multiple voices of a single instrument (e.g. the Roland Juno DS has 8 voices you can manipulate in individual MIDI channels, the Elektron Digitone has 4, etc.).

Good things to have at hand:

The possibilities are endless!
