Title: Microfreak Controller fixed velocity
Post by: Sébastien... on December 18, 2019, 05:07:28 pm
Hi,

When using the micorfreak as a controller, there is a lot of different velocity going on. Even if in :
  • Utility > Preset > Press mode > Aftertouch
the microfreak still send velocity as a controller.

If I try to have less variation :
  • Uitlity > Misc > KBD sensitivity > 10%
I've got less variations but very, very little midi velocity (something like between 1 and 10).

I'd like the microfreak sending a fixed velocity of 100, or 127.

Now I find it very difficult to play a bass line with a regular high velocity (fingers must be flat on the board ...)

Thank you very much for your help !

Ouaouh ...

Do you know if there is a better place to ask questions ?

Have you tried setting the velocity curve to Log, so that in the majority of situations the value is relatively high?

As for a better place to ask questions - raise a support ticket directly. I got a response the next working day when I asked about an issue with MIDI clock.

I've noticed the same thing. It would be better if MF only sent velocity if it is selected in patch settings.Hopefully it's something that will be changed in future updates.

+1

Microfreak feels very cumbersome to use as a midi controller because of this.
