There is a problem if one needs to use a 32-bit VST plug-in inside a 64-bit sequencer application (e.g. Pro Tools, Sonar, Studio One etc). That doesn't work.
I use Studio One (by Presonus) and just realized that there is also a 32-bit version available of it. Stupid me should have realized that much earlier. With the 32-bit Studio One I have no problems using the 32-bit Analog Player VST plug-in.
Stand-alone Analog Player (32-bit) works fine in 64-bit Windows.
