Well, that last photo convinced me. I'd been trying to find a single matching replacement for the missing fader knob on my battered old Keylab, but now I've hauled off and ordered a set of nine.
The faders are wide enough to control two with one finger. The Fatty & Encoder sit a little high but I like the larger diameter for finer control. Preferring the soft texture although hard texture is closer to stock.
Keylab49 and Keylab88 (not pictured) just had the sliders replaced. Keylab61BE got A) sliders, B) glow thin encoders on Category and Preset controls and C) glow encoder for Volume and other Encoders.
And the keybeds are all even. The 49 is just propped up on the couch making it look uneven.
I want to upgrade the fader knobs on my KL88. Something my finger tips can more easily settle into. (see attached picture) I'm guessing that the tops of the faders that the knobs fit on are 'generally' universal but don't know for sure.
KL 88 Metal fader top measurement with knob removed: 1.40 mm thick (0.555 in.) 4 mm deep 6 mm tall
So, I think the question comes out to be: How do I go about finding good fitting knobs and not wasting a lot of money on ones that don't fit?
Any input from anyone is very welcome. Let me know what you think. Thanks!
