Sound On Sound review
« on: March 30, 2005, 01:19:12 pm »
Has anyone else read the sound On Sound review.

It tallied closely with my own opinion of the CS80-V saying that it is a good recreation of the CS80 with useful extra features that take it beyond the original.

But I also agree with the criticisms. Why does the signal path overload at the drop of a hat? Why doesn't the effects section work? Why does the ribbon controller glide back to it's start position instead of cutting straight back?

They sum up by calling it a work in progress! Come on Arturia. Why can't you get these basics right? A review like that can't be good for business let alone keeping existing customers happy.

The review mentions that they held off publishing to give it chance to settle down but that even now Artruria are palnning a new release. Let's hope that the next release addresses the complaints in the review.

Hi stevenorgate

Thank you for posting your thoughts here, I still couldn't read the sos review and I agree with almost all the points brought from the reviewer: some work has surely to be done within certain specific sections in the signal path and to fix many code and GUI bugs....some little and respectful improvement still can be done ( and this has been discussed a lot in previous 3ds and I wish they will be there a lot    ) ...anyway I guess the tae model has been improved lately and if a good work has been done we will see it in 10 days @ MusikMesse!!!

We have planned and are working now on a CS-80 update, for fixing the requests by users and reviews.
But it will not be ready for the Musikmesse...
Still some little time to wait...

Thanks for letting us know. Any chance of a list of the bugs you going to fix and features (if any) you're going to add?
