BSP MIDI latency
« on: December 26, 2016, 06:31:59 pm »
I've had my BSP for about a year now, no issues, but haven't used it too much. Now I've discovered, that if I send MIDI to Live, there's a significant amount of latency (haven't measured, say 30ms). I've tried MIDI via USB and my audio interface as well. I'm attaching a screenshot, routed the drum sequencer into a MIDI track and hit record. It's clear, that the notes should be on the grid.

My specs:
- BSP latest firmware
- Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 (buffer size 128 samples, latest driver, ASIO selected in Ableton Live 9.7)
- Windows 10 x64 updated
- Machine not that important, but here - Gigabyte Z97 MoBo, Intel i7 4790k, 16GB DDR3, OS and DAW installed on SSD. No overclock or other kind of BS.

I really like the BSP, but it basically makes it impossible for me to use it with a computer. Any input appreciated. Cheers!

this is kinda natural due to the external recording process
you can adjust the incoming latency in Ableton's Midi Pref - go to BSP Midi Clock Sync Delay and adjust around -28ms and check - then you can finetune with "cmd" till the notes sit better on the Grid
