connect minibrute to my line6 ux2
« on: November 28, 2016, 09:27:17 pm »
Hello,
I want to connect my minibrute to my line6 ux2.
I am using ableton Live9, If i connect my minibrute to my laptop through usb it works as a midi controller, but I would like to fully utilize my synth by connecting it to my line6 ux2 soundcard.
Any idea, how to connect it?

Thank you

Connect an audio cable from the MiniBrute audio out to your UX2 instrument audio input.

That's how you get any electronic instrument's audio into your computer through an USB audio interface like the Line 6 UX2.

Then, to send/receive MIDI notes to/from the MiniBrute, you'll use its own USB cable to get its (USB) MIDI ports available in your computer.

So, with Live, you're use a MIDI track to send/receive MIDI from the MiniBrute while using an Audio track to listen/record the Line 6 UX2 audio inputs.

For lower latency results, use the Line 6 ASIO driver when choosing the audio interface to use in Ableton Live.

MIDI is for Notes/PitchBend/ModWheel
Audio is... for Audio, that's why you have the Line 6 UX2 *Audio* Interface :)

So, as I said previously, you'll use a MIDI track to receive/send MIDI from/to the MiniBrute-
...and an Audio track to Record/Listen to its audio.

To do the above, you should learn some basics about Ableton Live or else you'll be asking things on every step you try to take :/
