Bonjour Arturia Masters,

I just purchased a Keylab 61 here in Los Angeles for some session work and registered online today.

The Arturia Midi Control Center indicated that the firmware needed to be updated, so, of course I click okay. Afterward, my Keylab 61's display window reads 'Keylab 25 v1.19' and only 25 keys work (transposed as well). Disappointment.

I followed the directions to undo this action but the Midi Control Center can't find the Keylab 61 firmware that I downloaded. Midi Control Center also indicates that 'Keylab 25 is connected' so I deleted it from the audio/midi setup program and plugged the 61 back in: 'Keylab 25 is connected.'

Disappointment turns irritation.

I look to the forums for clues and see that most questions go unanswered for days, weeks, months, years. Irritation turns to verbal profanities...

Guys, I don't have weeks for someone at Arturia to answer 'if they feel like it' in a few weeks or months. Can you give me an answer or should I return the Keylab 61 to the place of purchase?

I'm booked at A&M Studios next Monday and as you know time is money - I can't afford to wait (this will NOT look good on the liner notes).

Please help!
Thanks, D

Same problem here, any update??

EDIT: I solved the issue by "forcing" the update of the keylab 61 firmware, renaming it from "KeyLab61_Firmware_Update_1_33.bin" to "KeyLab25_Firmware_Update_1_33.bin"

Yep I'm having the same issue with my Keylab 49. Super annoying. Going to try the suggested manual fix.

My new KeyLab 61 also thinks it is a 25, as does the MIDI Control Center.  Arturia suggested the fix mentioned above by catta202000, only they said the renaming should be from  KeyLab61_v133.bin => to => KeyLab25_v119.bin.

I downloaded and renamed as instructed, but don't know where to place the file and haven't had any success getting KeyLab 61 or MIDI Control Center to find and install it.  The help note said to select the renamed firmware, but I don't get a selection option in the updating process.

Any one able to walk me through 'the manual fix'?  Thanks.
