MIDI clock sync "glitch"
« on: April 11, 2017, 07:14:35 pm »
I synced my Microbrute to the midi clock of a DAW (Reaper) and I have a sequence running that is sent to a Doepfer Dark Energy II. The Microbrute is only used for percussive stuff in this setting. The melody comes from the Doepfer.
The Microbrute's sequencer is in Hold-mode and the idea is to have short midi notes placed in the DAW that trigger the transposition of the sequence automatically while recording.

This is the patch:

CV routing is
MB Pitch-Out -> DE VCO F
MB Gate-Out -> DE Gate In
MB LFO -> DE VCF F
MB ENV -> MB Pitch-In

And this is what the software settings of my MB look like:

And this is the problem:

I get "glitches" within the sequence's repitions (first half of the recording). But when I don't send out a midi clock to sync to, I don't have these glichtes within the sequences (second half of the recording). There are only midi notes in the places where the sequence is transposed. It's the same midis for both recordings.

Got my Microbrute today and I'm also still a newbie with synths in general. Any idea what the problem could be? What am I not seeing?
