Keylab with Garageband workaround
« on: January 26, 2017, 02:58:12 am »
Ok. For thos who want to use all the cool sounds included with Analog Lab and their Keylab and want to be able to use these sounds in garageband instead of just the garageband sounds - i have come up with a solution. However you will need two computer. I am using a macbook amd and imac. I will just use these in my example but of course you may have a different setup.

You will need a 3.5mm - 3.5mm audio cable.

First connect your keylab to your laptop that has analog lab installed. Turn it on and open analog lab as you usually would.

Connect one end of the aidio cable to the headphones output on your laptop and the other end to the audio input on your imac.

open garageband on your imac.

Go to preferences/midi and make sure you choose the correct input for audio.

In my case i am just using audio out as internal speakers on the imac.

Create a new track using the microphone /line in setting.

Now when you play your keylab throough your laptop the audio should be sent out to the imac and into garageband so you can use all those sounds from analog lab and tou should hear the sound from your imac.

Hope that helps those with two computers.
