Midi-out mod for Microbrute?
« on: January 05, 2016, 07:10:29 pm »
Hey everyone, just got a 'brute and loving. Apart from one thing...
I want to play along with other musicians, a drummer or percussionists especially, and the tap tempo makes that so much organic without click tracks ect. But I also want to connect my volcas and drive thrm with the brute's clock. I've got it working so far; connecting the CV-Out to the Sync-In. The problem is rests within a sequence are not transmitted to the volcas so they don't move and appear to skip a beat.
My qestion is, would a Midi signal sent from the brute to the volcas be the same, or would it be a more regular clock that includes notes and rests? If so then I'll consider doing the Midi-out mod that I've seen around.
I'm new to synths and midi so any ideas would be wel received.
Cheers
James
