Keylab88
« on: December 20, 2015, 12:48:45 am »
Trying to midi map the Keylab88 transport controls to my DAW, Studio One 3 Professional,,,
I haven't found any info really, either manuals Midi Control Center or Audiolab

Also, trying to update Midi Control Center through the Midi Control Center will not apply...
Seems after the update has Burn correct, when unplugging USB it starts the Upgrade / Update, so the update does not show updated after holding Octave up / Down while rebootinig,,,

Help ?  lol,,,

Two days and no reply ?

I spent $800 on the Keylab 88 and bought the Collections bundle on top of that,,,

I've had this keyboard for 3 months and find very little help anywhere in the vast available resources..
What I am trying to do is claimed possible by the products definition,,,
I spent enough money and expect some support...

What the heck is going on ?

Hi The Rocker,

1. Using MMC with Studio one and the KL88.
- Go to Options then choose External Devices
- Click "add"
- in the list choose PreSonus then MMC
- in "receive from" and "send to" choose your kl88
- click ok

=> MMC should work now.

2.About your Firmware update problem. I don't really understand what you're explaining in your first post. BTW what is the firmware of your machine ?

Ok,,, I finally see my version of Keylab Firmware is now at 1.1.0.4

Midi Mapping,,,  the first thing in Studio One Pro V3
Create a new Instrument
Set to Send and Receive from my Keylab88

The transport button did not control Studio One,,,

So I did the MMC as well, ignored the warning of same inputs, and now the Transport buttons on the Keylab control Studio One transport functions except for Loop toggle,,,

I'll see what I can do about that tomorrow, but any help would be awesome,,,

Have a great holiday !!!

HI Ben,,,

The Loop Transport Button on the Keylab doesn't Toggle the Loop in Studio one,,,
It seems to be working on the Keylab88 as it does light on and off Blue color.

I have not had a chance to see what I can do about it, might have time tomorrow.

All the other functions are working except the above...

Now I can finally work the Keylab88 and check all it's functions and learn about it now...
So far what little I did use, works perfect.
And the action of the Keys and Keyboard are very nice.

I bought an Expression Pedal, Damp Pedal, and another, all 3 have control switching for any scenario I need,,,
Very excited about the Keylab88 now,,,

The Firmware is now up to date. All Software is now up to date.
I still need to update the Collections 4 software, which is next.

Thank you for the MMC suggestion :D  :)  8)

Hi The Rocker,

That's normal that your loop button isn't working with your DAW with MMC.
The loop function isn't handled with MMC.
Loop button send CC, i guess you should map it on the loop button in Studio One to make it work.
You can toggle loop on off also by pressing "/".
