MCC and DAW
« on: October 05, 2015, 06:10:44 pm »
Hi

Is there any way of opening MCC while you are also using your daw?

it is a pain in the backside  to have to close my daw then adjust in MCC
then close MMC and re open my daw, everytime I want to make adjustments to my BSP

cheers

Hi,
I suppose both apps uses the same midi port. In my personal case ableton was not responding and freezing while using MMC, if using ableton then MMC was giving an error "device disconnected" or so. The funny thing is my bsp WAS connected to my computer... a kinda "MMC has detected another program..." message would be more comprehensible and realistic but well, seems to be difficult to implement.
So basically choose between your DAW or MMC.

MCC via USB, BSP via MIDI cables should do the trick, but you may not want to do that...

Hi,
Windows 10 should bring an MIDI port emulator (Mac does it) but for now we've make a tutorial to emulate until 8 ports  :
