Help: someone with voltmeter and beatstep MIDI adapter
« on: August 14, 2015, 11:43:50 pm »
Could anyone with a voltmeter and a little time help me out please? I've lost my MIDI adapter and want to make a new one.

What pins connect to the tip and sleeve?

If you have a beatstep MIDI adapter cable, can you test all pins in the female side against the tip and sleeve of the male 1/8" adapter and report your findings?

I suspect that tip is pin 4 and sleeve is pin 5, but can't find ANY information on the forum or internet in general. Odd that pin 2 (ground) isn't used. Or maybe it is somehow.

Anyway, much appreciated.
