Midi clock Sync on Arpeggiators
« on: January 08, 2015, 02:08:55 pm »
Hi Arturia community brain,

I've tried emailing technical support about this but no reply as yet. I have a problem getting the synths in the V Collection to recognise an external midi clock and sync to it. I am controlling the synths with a MicroKorg (through an M-Audio M-Track) and a Beatstep which is receiving Midi Clock info from Spark. The Beatstep and the Microkorg both send note info to the software synths without any problem. However, I would like the arpeggiators on the synths to sync to the master clock from the Spark. The midi sync switches don't do this. Can you advise please?

If you're in standalone it will be impossible to synchronize the CS80 without any DAW.

I guess Sam can explain more about it if you want.
Sam ?

Hi,

Yes Ben, you're right.
The CS-80 cannot be synced using a midi clock (the BeatStep's one for instance). But it can use a software clock (using a DAW).

OK, thanks for that, I'll look into how to do it via a DAW. Much appreciated.
