Sequense control via MIDI
« on: May 02, 2015, 02:54:25 am »
Hello everyone!

Im thinking of buying a Micro or a Minibrute SE but before I make my mind I'd like to know:

1. Is it possible to start and stop sequenser from an external device via a Midi? In my case a drumpad.

2. Is it possible to tempo tap from the pad?

3. Is it possible to change sequense from the pad?

I'd be gratefull if somebody could help me with this!

Thank you!

I don’t see anything about external play/stop or sequence selection in the midi section of the minibrute SE connection manual, so I’m thinking it’s not likely.

However, you might be able to make interesting use of the gate input using your drum pad to step the sequence forward?

Thanx for the idea of using gate input! Havent had time to experiment with that since our drummer got too exited with the synth :-\

Anyway, you were right. Its possible to control note on/off and I guess pitchbend and modwheel with ext. midi device, but thats all.
