Keylab 49 causing Kontakt instrument to drift out of tune
« on: February 05, 2015, 08:55:04 am »
Hi,

New user of Keylab 49 (& Kontakt 5). When trying to play Kontakt's VSL string ensemble, every note or chord played drifts up sharp out of tune then back down. Can't understand where this is coming from, I don't see any settings for pitch drift, etc. The same instrument, when played with a Minilab, plays normal. So it's something with the Keylab. I have tried to set after touch to 0 in MidiControl center, and tried setting aftertouch to a different channel (couldn't find a simple on off), but the problem persists.

Has anyone else run into this and any idea how to fix it?

Thanks,
Michael

Maybe that's because your KL send release velocity and not the MiniLab ?

Hi MichaelMcDonald,

That's not possible to remove the release velocity message.
But it should be possible to filter this message in Kontact VSL preferences.
