editing CV sequences on the hardware
« on: January 04, 2015, 05:21:30 am »
I have cv out going to a filter CV in on my synth, but i have not been able to change the value using the hardware alone.  I understand this may be done by sending midi from my daw, and instructing Beatstep which midi track to use for CV generation, but cant i use the encoders to change the CV value for each step as i would the midi note data in a beatstep sequence?

Hi Terry,
Thanks for the template.  I am able to affect the CV input into my synth with the pads on the beatstep, but my problem is I cannot change what Voltage is actually sent - each pad seems to have a control voltage that is locked down. I was hoping to be able to give each step a control voltage, using the knobs as is done with midi note data on the beatstep.  Is that possible?  or is CV data only READ from a midi track coming from a DAW, and not editable, or createable on the beatstep hardware?

Thanks i hope for your insight.

Hi im not sure what you mean as the cv output depends on the note value ,so the cv value has a different voltage level .
