Matrix 12 not responding to Note off
« on: December 17, 2014, 07:56:29 pm »
Any one else seen this either with the 32 Bit standalone or the 64 bit plugin, where the Matrix-12 fails to recognise a note off when using a Midi Keyboard controller.

Seems to work fine within my DAW with notes entered manually then streamed to the plug.

What's your MIDI controller? Have you tried checking what's really being sent by the controller?

Some controllers (like M-Audio) use "Note ON Velocity=0" as their "Note OFF" which are 2 different MIDI codes (0x8? vs 0x9?)

But, I've tried both types of MIDI controller keyboards with Matrix-12 and it works fine, both as Standalone and Ableton Live.

...I can check this again, just to be extra sure.

Just checked with M-Audio's Axiom 61 (which sends Note ON Velocity 0 as its interpretation of a Note Off) and an Arturia controller (that uses proper Note Off) and both work fine with Matrix-12 V as standalone and VST 2.4 under Live.
