Audio dropping out
« on: December 09, 2014, 01:50:06 am »
I purchased the VCollection 4 this week and I'm having issues with a couple of the instruments.

In the case of the Prophet-V the audio is fine for the first few minutes of use, then it begins either cutting out at regular intervals (about every four or five seconds).  Weirdly it only does this with newly played notes; they will not sound and must be retriggered.  Sustained notes do not cut out.  It's not a MIDI issue so far as I can see, since the newly played notes appear on the screen as depressed keys; they just don't sound.

I'm using the instrument as a standalone (no DAW) on a 2012 Macbook Pro.  The CPU usage meter has not gone much above 30%, it isn't accompanied by pops and clicks so I doubt it's a buffer issue, and it happens whether I use my Steinberg UR44 interface or the built in output on the computer.

Any suggestions on troubleshooting this one?

Hi Christopher,
Strange one...
Have you been testing with different buffer size ?
Is it happening on several preset ?
Can't reproduce this here...
.......testing.......
