Arturia V Collection Preset Management Mac OSX
« on: November 26, 2014, 07:11:49 pm »
Has anyone figured out how to manage presets for the entire V 3 Collection? I've found a mess of files spread out all over my hard drive and can't make sense of the way presets are saved, nor can I easily organize them. This folder structure is insane (screen attached).

I have factory and user presets in the following locations:

Applications
Hard Drive/Applications/Arturia/

Presets for Oberheim SEM V, Spark, Spark Vintage Drum Machines, Wurlitzer V
Hard Drive/Library/Arturia/

Presets for Jupiter-8V
Hard Drive/Library/Application Support/Arturia/Jupiter-8V/

Presets for Analog Factory (Arp 2600V, CS80V, Jupiter-8V, MiniMgV, MgModular V2, Prophet5, Prophet5VS)
Hard Drive/Library/Application Support/Arturia/AnalogFactory/

Presets for Arp 2600V, Brass 2, Cs80V, Jupiter-8V, MiniV, MiniMg V, MoodModularV2, Prophet-V2
Hard Drive/Library/Preferences/

Could you be more specific Adrien? Will there be free updates for all the synths in the V3 collection or will we need to buy the V4 upgrade to take advantage of improved preset management?

Has anyone figured out how to manage presets for the entire V 3 Collection? I've found the best ProExtender results and a mess of files spread out all over my hard drive and can't make sense of the way presets are saved, nor can I easily organize them. Hard Drive/Library/Preferences/

Is it easier to organize files and folders in V4 these days? The last version I used was V3 on my old PC with W7 but I've got a new WIndows 10 pC and I'm thinking of using Arturia again but I remember how messy all the files got on my last pc. Is it tidier now?

If you're a Logic Pro user, the presets for most all of the Arturia synths have been indexed for the Logic browser in this thread: http://www.logicprohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=15267
