Spark2 export to Logic X
« on: July 05, 2014, 06:45:03 am »
Hello

After a bunch of Spark2 crashes (which Arturia support dept. ignores), I have finally been able to at least create some tracks - or patterns (I'm new to Spark) in standalone and plugin modes.  Now I need to export them to Logic X as individual tracks. So,separation of recorded instruments per pad in multiple Logic X tracks.  But this is not happening!

I've asked support about this Spark2 export to Logic X but they don't know what I'm talking about! >:(
So, maybe I can get some help here I hope ;D

Thanks

I may be misunderstanding you as well, but does this video cover what you're looking for? Simple bus routing off the midi tracks to get them into individual audio files.

I've had no problems creating audio files using those instructions, though I am using 9 not Logic X

Hello and thanks for the link but it doesn't work in Logic X.
I followed as much as possible but it only records all tracks from Spark2 on one track in Logic X when selecting the instrument track to record.
The signal can be seen on all tracks though, but upon selecting solo on any of them, it acts like a mute button.

What's the use of the export button in sequencer if it doesn't work!

HI . logic x load spark multi out from your au list. in spark assign your instruments to separate outs in the mixer . then in logic look at the bottom of the channel for the - and + button at the bottom near the fader. this will assign all your outs to separate mixer channels.
then loop an area and bounce that section
there you will have each instrument to audio process to your hearts content.

hope this helps

Hi, thanks.  After trashing the prefs i can drag each soloed track in seq to Logic X audio track.  Will try other suggestions again.  I tried them before and it kept crashing OSX.

Stick, I am having no issues what so ever using LPX and Spark's individual track output method that was suggested by Terrym? Since I have LPX I can help with your issues, if you don't mind.. Not sure if you have already found a remedy or fixed to this issue of yours. This post is a few months old.. Are you still having trouble?

Hi, thanks for checking in... I was so disappointed with support not addressing my crashes that I gave up on Spark.
