More than 16 steps?
« on: July 05, 2014, 03:23:44 am »
Hey there,

Was thinking about getting a Beatstep as a standalone sequencer for my Mg Sub Phatty, but 16 steps isn't going to cut it for me. Is it possible to program more than 16 steps into this device, i.e. 32 or 64 step sequences? Thanks.

no it does 16 steps, but i believe if arturia wanted they could make it more steps with an update. if they could turn each pad into a page of 16 steps that you could access maybe by hitting shift cntrl/seq and then hitting a pad you could have 16x16 step loops

the problem is i think thats a lot to ask of a 99 dollar sequencer, i hope im wrong!!

id like to see a tempo somewhere in the software, no way way to know how fast the sequence is going..

Hey that's a great idea - perhaps they could do it with the purple LED function you see on power up ?  :)

I thought it already had 16 x 16 steps
Recall button plus pad 1 = 1st 16
recall button plus pad 2 = 2nd  16

and so on etc etc

is that what you mean
