Strange behavior, Origin and Logic USB midi
« on: June 24, 2012, 02:42:59 pm »
Hi all

I was wondering if anyone has seen this: when I use Origin in Logic (via USB midi), Origin will play a random key when I start and stop Logic. It happens no matter if I choose the Origin as my active instrument or not. Or if there are any midi events recorded or not.  ???

When I start Logic, Origin will sound a note continuously. Then when I stop Logic, the Origin will change that note to a deeper note, but keep playing. Then if I send a Panic signal, i.e. all notes off, it will stop as commanded. But the problem reappears the moment I start playing the song again.

I've checked Origin's system settings. Everything is off, control changes, program change, everything.

If I play on the Origin using a keyboard, even through (paused) Logic, it works just fine. The problem only occurs when Logic is playing.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Hmmm. Do you notice an activity of the MIDI (virtual) LED on the bottom part of the Origin screen when you start and stop Logic?
