Strange AF Logic 8 bug
« on: August 28, 2008, 06:48:30 pm »
I recently discovered what appears to be a strange bug when using AF on Logic 8.02 (MacPro 2.66)

I was getting CPU overloads trying to use various AF sounds at low buffer settings.   Oddly, the CPU meter seemed to spike most when I was NOT playing...   Then I discovered by accident that if I add "DELAY" to the AF sound (using the delay/mix AF knob), CPU usage goes waaaaay down.  No more overloads!

So, somehow, using the Delay knob in "dry" setting creates CPU spiking.  Adding even a tiny bit of delay to the wet/dry mix solves the problem.  VERY ODD.     This is repeatable behavior on my system, so it would seem to indicate some kind of glitch in the system.  Apple's fault or Arturia's?  Who knows.

Just thought you might find it interesting and useful information.

Weird bug, you're right.
We're dropping an eye asap on this.
