Yes, exactly.
I remember when Roland released the V-Synth XT. There were delays then, too. And when it finally arrived there was a bug with the early ones - at least, there was with mine. It only showed up if you programmed it pretty extensively, which is probably how Roland missed it when doing their final checks.
So waiting a little while for a new product isn't unusual, especially if it's a complex and powerful one. It was well worth the wait with the Roland. Having had to wait, and having had that initial software bug, I don't regret buying the V-Synth at all. It's probably the best synth I've ever bought. and an initial delay and problem doesn't matter at all now.
A small company like Arturia lacks the resources of a company the size of Roland, and things must be even more demanding prior to the release of a new product.
In view of the way Arturia has worked with tried and tested classic synth design it's easy to miss the fact that they're actually a pioneering company. They took classic synth designs into new areas, and Origin is another inspired piece of new design. If I had the money right now I'd be at the leading edge with those of you who are so keen to get working with this synth. You can expect some delays and a bit of silence from Arturia while they work flat out on this, annoying though that may be. But it won't seem so important a bit further down the line.
BTW Virtualworld said "I don't buy a car with bugs." Are you sure? The deisel version of one of the Renault range had a rather unfortunate problem in that the brakes were in a sealed unit that had a tendency to fall off the car when travelling at speed. They soon sorted that out, thankfully. The car had the advertising slogan "It takes your breath away." Embarassing. :lol:
