Audio & Midi settings in Stand Alone Mode
« on: July 27, 2007, 09:45:53 pm »
Have any Mac-users had the same problems? I'm unable to set the audio and midi settings in Stand Alone mode because there doesn't seem to be a preferences setting in the file menu as suggested in the manual. Therefore I cannot select my Focusrite soundcard as Audio Driver and cannot set my Edirol PCR M30 as Midi Controller. I'm using a G5 imac 2GHz running OSX 10.4.10 and using the full version of the Jupiter J8.
Also as mentioned by other people in these forums, the CPU load seems quite excessive for a single soft synth. I hope Arturia can improve the CPU efficiency in an update pretty soon.

After searching through the interface I finally came across a second file menu in the main synth window which had a scroll down menu to the Audio & Midi settings.
Strange, to have two file menus on the same page, but that is what had me baffled for a while.

Still, the comment on the CPU load stands.
