External Controllers - "MIDI Learn" Facility
« on: May 14, 2007, 04:19:32 pm »
Hi folks,

Newbie first post, so be gentle!!!

From within my Korg Legacy bundle I can right-click on (almost) any on-screen dial to allow that on-screen control to 'learn' the MIDI output from an external controller.  This works with most of my standalone plug-ins, as well as VSTi's within my sequencer app (Cubase SX3.1, as you're asking!), but not with Arturia's.

This process happily works with my Behringer BCR-2000 and BCF-2000 control surfaces, as well as my CME UF8 MIDI keyboard controller.  :D

How do I achieve this external control with Arturia's Jupiter-8V synth?  :?:

Cheers.

PS  Are there any sites out for new patches?  And did anyone ever sort out whether the opening lines of "Rio" by Duran Duran were from Nick Rhodes' Jupiter 8 or not?  I've a friend in tribute and covers bands who's genuinely interested.
Cheers,

If you hold down the control key on your pc Keyboard then while holding the control key click on one of the sliders on knobs on the J8v then you get the midi learn panel you will need to do this for each control.
