Signature synth sounds from "back in the day"
« on: January 04, 2007, 11:06:52 am »
I got to thinking the other day that I've never come across a factory or patch in any of my VSTs for a few of my favorite sounds from way back when.  The two that came to mind are the lead sound from Devo's "Race of Doom" and the sweep from Kraftwerk's "Neon Lights".  Has anyone had any luck recreating these or any other signature synth sounds from scratch?  I haven't started yet, but I'm going to work on these two.  Maybe a list of sounds and how we got them would be a fun little project?
