Can't Install Analog Factory on New MacBook
« on: October 18, 2006, 11:06:39 pm »
I have operating system   System Version:   Mac OS X 10.4.8 (8L2127)
  Kernel Version:   Darwin 8.8.1.

When I try to install the afotware, after accepting the license agreement, I get an error that says there are no files to install.  Tried the software on another Mac (intel based I was told) with operating system 10.4.4 and the installation proceeded.  Any help would be appreciated.  This computer was purchased only a few days ago.

You should try to directly install the reloaded version of Analog Factory.
This version is more recent, and the installer may work better.

If you still experience problem, you should try to repair the permissions on your disk.
You can do that using the Disk Utility program.

Reloaded Version

Thanks for the information.  I am also corresponding with Arturia.

Where does one get the reloaded version?  I thought it was a download that you added after installing the software, which of course I cannot do.

The Guitar Center where I was attempting to install the software did not have a "reloaded" version.

Downloading and installing the "reloaded" version worked!  Of course you need a license number to download.

Thanks for the help.

Installation on Quadmac
« Reply #6 on: December 23, 2006, 01:23:01 pm »
Same problems -message "there's nothing to install!". This is Quadmac with latest MacOSX. Everytime I tried to copy installer/pkg got "don't recognize .bom files" message! Finally installed on old iMacG4 with earlier OSX fine and copied installed items to Quadmac where it now works fine. I am not impressed...this was not properly tested before release...however the sound quality is Great...BUT note comments about a lot of 'Sequence' patches not actually being sequences in other Posts...this software needs an URGENT overhaul or better documentation...it makes me loathe to upgrade to the ARP, Prophet etc
