Single sequence naming trick
« on: February 04, 2014, 10:15:10 pm »
(I'm not sure if this is a 'feature' described somewhere in the official documentation or if it has been already discussed here in the forum, but...)

In case you save quite often your sequences on pc, and you would like to be able to assign names not only to the whole .mbseq file, but also to single sequences (maybe you've edited just one of them...),
the good news is that you can put a name/description/freetext between the seq number and the ":" that precedes the notes string.
It works: ***EDIT*** when you use the 'Load' function to send back a .mbseq file to the MB, sequences are correctly loaded even if the file contains free text between sequence number and the following ":". ***

Example
Original .mbseq file content:
1:36
2:60 60 60 48
3:48 60 48 60
4:36 x 36 48 36 36 x 48
5:36 48 36 48
6:60 61 62 63
7:60 72 48 60
8:36 48 42 43 65 64 63 72 32 36 38 40 41 61 64

Seq naming inside file:
1 naming:36
2 example:60 60 60 48
3 not sure:48 60 48 60
4 if by design:36 x 36 48 36 36 x 48
5 but definitely:36 48 36 48
6 a:60 61 62 63
7 nice:60 72 48 60
8 feature:36 48 42 43 65 64 63 72 32 36 38 40 41 61 64

Easy and useful.
