The MIDI Control Center fix for Mac 10.9 and Windows 8 is officially released here:
Please try this version and tell us if it works for you. You might have to remove your Keylab from Audio MIDI Setup.
Thanks for this. Sadly, I'm still having the same issues. I installed the new version of MCC, removed the Keylab61 and the 2 ghost USB devices it created and on the first switch on of the Keylab, it all worked fine. However, it still created those 2 ghost USB devices in the MIDI manager. And after rebooting, it failed to find the Keylab 61, with MCC reporting an error, stating that it failed to open the device.
All my other USB based controllers (Akai MPK49, Behringer UMA25S, Korg nanoPAD, Korg nanoKONTORL all hot plug with zero errors, yet Keylab can take anything up to an hour sometimes to be recognised, and then only after repeated reboots of the controller.
I am very close to returning the product as I've probably only been able to use it for a couple of hours since it arrived in December
