Transports: can't get to sync with Logic X
« on: February 23, 2014, 12:55:35 am »
I've got my KeyLab 49 plugged via MIDI cable to my Scarlett 2i4... and all running into Logic X.
Everything, for the most part, seems to be working as anticipated but I CAN NOT get the transports to sync.

I tried sync'ing with "Listen to MMC Input"... I tried manually mapping transport buttons to Key Commands and NOTHING works... Please help?

    Hi guys,
I have no transport problems with Logic X and keylab.
Please follow those step and post me your answer :

You should have a MMC Play message

    In Logix X

    • Go to preferences
    • Click on MIDI
    • Then on Sync
    • Click on "MIDI Sync Project Settings"
    • In the new window check "Listen to MMC input" under MIDI Machine Control menu

Also check you Logic X version. Latest version is 10.0.6 i guess
.......testing.......

The MMC messages are only transmitted when connected by USB. How can I transmit MMC over MIDI cables? Is there a new version of the unified midi control centre that runs on Mac OSX 10.6.8 snow leopard that will allow me to program the correct MMC? I am currently running the old midi control centre. I have run a midi monitor app that confirms no MMC are being transmitted except for the LOOP button which sends a "Reset" message. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jgreazy,
Sorry there is no new update for the MCC.
You can manually set you transport button to send MMC directly via hardware.

Or try to restore another memory press edit then choose keyboard preset.
