WHY MY SAMPLES ARE DISTORTED?
« on: April 15, 2013, 09:22:15 pm »
https://soundcloud.com/goateater/why-this-happen

The first sound is from my mac when I have them on spark, and then the second is when I play it on my mac outside spark, why it lowers the sound quality like that??
Is it that the files are made on windows and doesn't work for that reason? Some of the files might be 32 bits, even if my mac and my windows are 64 bit. They are wav too

I have to play this thing tomorrow, but I have no idea how to fix this audio problem, please help!

EDIT: I'm not going to bump this, but if anyone ever finds this and has the same problem, here's a solution:

I saved the .WAVs in 32bits and not 24, which distorted them for some reason. The problem might be in your audio files even if they sound clear otherwise. I just lowered the quality and the distortion disappeared.

Raise your audio latency to at least a buffer of 512 samples. If that doesn't work try raising it to 768 samples. Let me know if that works.

Hi Satanoid,

Have you found a solution to your problem? This sounded very strange, I'd be curious to know what caused this!

Best,
Seb.
