Hi,
what is the VST you are using.
If I can get it, I could try to set it up and tell you how to do.

Did you activate "track in" for Spark?

Yeah the midi in stuff in preferences is on i tried both public and private(for the controller) also routed
Then retried it with routing a midi cable from my midi interface to the spark and let the trigger channel send the midi to the spark also did not work monitor in was also on ...

u can change em to 1-spark, 2-spark ... etc

That's not a pad number, that's the MIDI channel number on which Spark would receive if it is setup as an external instrument. But if you work with a third MIDI track in between your VSTi and Spark tracks, setting it up like you described it and use the "Track in" option with the right MIDI notes from your VSTi, you should hear something.
