How to Shift notes one step
« on: December 30, 2012, 08:27:52 am »
Is there a way to shift the notes in a pattern left or right? Preferably a method on the controller?  I can't find anything about it.

Basically I just want to be able to shift a set of notes on the step sequencer back and forth (say like shift the hi hats) in case I decide they'd sound better in a different position.

Have you ever thought about setting your pattern up then make the set pattern into audio then use Ableton's groove system on the audio track to make the quantize kick in early / late ?

Hi MPC,

That is similar to what I usually end up doing with Studio ONe, but it would be quicker and limit the creative flow less if I could do it on the fly with the spark.

Another thing that would be awesome would be the ability to shift note steps individually from the hardware!
