Title: Has anyone been able to register their Keylab 88?
Post by: OhMeadhbh on May 27, 2016, 02:00:06 am
So I'm trying to register a new Keylab 88 so I can download the software, but the registration page says "something went wrong." And it's not like Arturia has a support staff. Is this a common problem? Should I just download the software off PirateBay or something?

Hi there,

same here, just got mine home from the store last night and what a let down, i have installed some demo's of the software but it times out after 10 mins, not that warm fuzzy feeling.  ableton works fine with the keys so not a total loss, but reading some of the horror stories on here was it the right purchase.
Time will tell.

Their website is glitchy sometimes, just try again later but yeah I registered my Keylab 88 very early on, it's not a permanent issue.

If registration continues to not work, there is a category of Tech Support Request devoted to bad registration. I did this using the online form and got a response within 24hrs. Considering Arturia is in France (5hrs ahead), that's not bad.

Look for replies to this online form via your My Arturia account. I never got a copy in my gmail inbox.

http://www.arturia.com/myarturia
scroll down to My Support
Look for a case number in tiny font. I was able to click the number.
This sent me to Arturia's FogBugz window which had a message from Tech Support. Without a reply button.
To reply, compose an email to:registration-inquiry@arturia.com. Don't hit send just yet.
I copied the subject line from the FogBugz window verbatim. This should make it easier for them to sort through and find you on their end.
Don't be rude. Seriously. It seems like they take care of customers who aren't nasty to them.

Wikipedia suggests Arturia has a whopping 35 employees total. I suspect that as Arturia grows, their tech support and customer service side will improve quite a bit.

Just as a follow-up,

Arturia did follow through and re-register my Keylab 88 and associated software. I sent a photo of the keyboard with SN and unlock code on Friday after lunch EST (already 6pm in France). Arturia had me sorted Monday morning. Just FYI, consider the time difference and also consider that they seem to not work on weekends.

I'm recording VSTs controlled by Keylab in REAPER with my modest Windows 10 Toshiba laptop right now. I'm quite happy!
