Maybe i'm doing something wrong.
I can run a korg sq-1 via midi to trigger the MB.
I can run CV/Gate out to run another synth.
but i cannot get cv in to work from the SQ-1, only the Gate works.
i've tried different cables, no luck.
I've tried different synths, they work so it's not the sq-1

Does the patch panel CV in to pitch on the MB work? You can check that with one of the little patchcables on the patchpanel.
If that works, then check the settings on the SQ-1. It should be oct/V, not Hz/V as is standard with Korg.

bit of a gap.
still can't work out how to trigger the micro with cv in.
i just bought a mother 32 it's cv output is 1v/octave.
plugged into my SH-09 cv/gate works fine.
plugged into the microbrute, nothing, only gate in works not 'cv in' in matrix.
maybe i've got a software setting wrong.
also want to know how you clock the sequencer without midi. read the manual, can't see anything.
the mother has a clock out that is a 5v pulse, what input do you use on the MB as there is no sync in like there is on korgs. i swear the drumbrute demo on youtube syncs to MB without midi (probbaly becasue of the midi issues with the sequencer they won't fix).
any help appreciated

Hi,
regarding the CV In topic:
Have you tried to modulate the VCO with the LFO, i.e. patching the LFO Out to Pitch In (both in the Mod Matrix)? At least that would show if Pitch In is working.
reagarding the sequencer topic:
In the connection software under Sequencer Control set "Play" to "Note On" and set "Step On" to "Gate". Use the Gate In on MicroBrute's rear side for the signal from the Mother. If +5V is not sufficient try to amplify it up to +10V.
Hope that helps.

thanks. i finally worked it out. doh! moment. i had the cv in patched into the sub, because i saw cv in right next to it, and i'm so used to seeing cv in instead of pitch. if in doubt rtfm. ::)
as regards clocking the sequencer i will try that. thanks.

Hi nashspacerocket,
see the post in my thread for additional information on your issue.
Additionally to my answer in your thread: The setting for "Play" is on "Hold" in my case, messed that up in yesterday's reply.
